Playing devil's advocate on victim-blaming

Today we played devil's advocate on a discussion on victim-blaming. We also discussed the requirement of resistance to prove rape (physical bruising), duty of care (who ensures there was consent/ non-consent), implied consent (due to prior immoral conduct) and others.

We wrote "dissenting judgments" against Trial Court Judgments in Ewanchuk and Vertido; and later compared our dissenting judgments to the Appellate Court and CEDAW Committee decisions.

Was surreal to hear them quote from Vertido/ Ewanchuk in Dari! Yesterday we compared victim blaming in rape cases vs other crimes such as robbery, traffic accident, assault and male rape.
