Natasha Latiff

Founder & Co-Director

Singapore

Natasha is an international human rights lawyer. She is also the Co-Founder and Legal Director of SAHR's sister organisation in Afghanistan. Over the last decade, Natasha has supported women human rights defenders and women lawyers to represent women victims of abuse, rape, torture and murder. She has also drafted laws and policies around virginity testing, protection of victims and witnesses and sex harassment.

Sara Bergamaschi

Co-Director

Berlin, Germany

Sara is a gender justice expert and human rights advocate from Italy. Before co-leading SAHR, she has worked with the Italian Embassy in Egypt, the German Development Agency (GIZ) in Morocco, the International Rescue Committee (IRC) in Iraq, and the United Nations in New York, Jordan, Yemen, and at the Turkish-Syrian border. She has also co-produced three award-winning documentaries capturing powerful journeys of Syrian refugees, using storytelling as a tool for social change.

Catalina Domínguez Fernández

Catalina is a Berlin-based feminist lawyer from Colombia with over seven years of experience in addressing gender issues, extensive technical knowledge in protection, prevention, and human rights, as well as advocacy work with local, regional, and international authorities and diverse stakeholders. Combining her expertise in human rights, public administration, and criminology, Catalina has analyzed existing normative frameworks and supported the development and implementation of public policies.

Her work focuses on interdisciplinary art and creative activism, addressing issues like women's rights, human rights, cultural heritage, marine conservation, disabilities, mental health, and student wellbeing across Europe and the Asia-Pacific.

Alexander Sultan-Khan

Alexander Sultan-Khan is a Swiss/German humanitarian professional with over 14 years of experience in emergency response and field operations across Syria, Ethiopia, CAR, the DRC, Nigeria, Niger, Lebanon, Jordan, and Colombia. He has worked with international organizations, the UN, the European Commission, and the German Government in Berlin, Brussels, New York, and Geneva. His expertise includes humanitarian negotiations, diplomacy, policy analysis, donor relations, and international humanitarian law.

Marissa Kardon Weber

SAHR Board Secretary

Marissa is an international criminal and human rights lawyer specializing in strategic litigation against abusive governments and other actors on behalf of survivors, dissidents, and political prisoners. She also advises NGOs addressing atrocity crimes. Her work spans conflicts in Iraq/Syria, Ukraine/Russia, Libya, Iran, Afghanistan, Myanmar/Bangladesh, and Seychelles, and she previously served in the ICC's Office of the Prosecutor. Committed to victim-centered and trauma-informed justice, she strives to achieve both accountability and healing.

Maria Karimzad (Afghanistan / Germany)

Since 2021, she lectures on law at the German University for Applied Sciences, Public Administration and Finance Ludwigsburg.

Prior to her work in the German government, she worked at the Max Planck Institute for Comparative and International Law in Heidelberg on legal matters concerning Afghanistan as well as international human rights and humanitarian law.

From 2014 until 2019 she served as a legal advisor at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Afghanistan as well as the Ministry of Finance of Afghanistan in Kabul, both in her capacity as a consultant for the German Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) and the World Bank.

Nadia Moynihan (Singapore)

Nadia Moynihan is a lawyer who maintains a practice with August Law Corporation in Singapore and Branch Austin McCormick in London. Her practice focuses primarily on litigation and she regularly represents companies and individuals in a wide range of sectors.

In the workplace context, Nadia regularly provides training to companies on how to address harassment at the workplace, from early identification to implementing fair and robust employment policies to combat it.

She works with clients, including clients from the LGBTQ community, who require protection from former partners or strangers in cases of online and offline stalking, doxing, revenge porn, harassment, death threats and assaults.
